What Does British Standard Compliant Mean?
By choosing a first aid kit that complies with BS8599-1, you’re ensuring your workplace meets a nationally recognised standard for first aid provision. These kits are carefully specified to provide a consistent, high-quality level of care in line with UK health and safety guidance.
The contents and size of British Standard kits are determined by workplace risk assessments, taking into account both the number of employees and the hazard level of the environment.
This Medium kit is typically recommended for workplaces with:
Up to 100 employees in low-hazard environments (e.g. offices, retail)
Up to 25 employees in higher-risk environments (e.g. warehouses, light manufacturing)
Organised Interior
In an emergency, speed and clarity are critical. This kit is thoughtfully designed to support fast, confident first aid delivery and to make ongoing maintenance simple. This is done through the use of:
Elasticated loops keep supplies securely in place, so nothing shifts or gets lost in transit.
A zip-around opening for quick visibility.
Clearly labelled packaging makes it easy to grab what you need and just as easy to spot what needs replacing during restocks.
Durable Water-Resistant Nylon
Built for real-world emergencies, this kit comes in a water-resistant nylon case that protects supplies from rain, splashes, or spills. Whether the incident is indoors or outdoors, the sealed design helps keep first aid essentials safe and dry until they’re needed.
