Telesales Business Development Manager

We are looking for a Telesales Business Development Manager to join our busy btob Sales team based in Hendon.

This new role is a unique opportunity to manage and grow a portfolio of End User Customers plus achieve significant new business development targets across our products and first aid training divisions.

Safety First Aid Group is a specialist supplier of products and services to the workplace first aid and occupational health market. The Group has been established since 1959 and remains privately owned. A team of 65 staff are based at our Head Office and distribution centre in North London.

The Safety First Aid products business manufactures and distributes a wide range of workplace first aid supplies. Products are sourced globally, manufactured to demanding specifications and distributed widely throughout the UK and abroad. Our products are sold through a wide range of leading business to business distributors as well as direct to large corporate customers.

Safety First Aid Group has a delivered a solid track record of profitable growth and has ambitious plans to more than double profits over the next five years.

We are looking for someone with a professional telephone manner, commercial aptitude and a hunger to exceed targets; team and customer focus is essential. You must have experience in a new business development btob sales environment.

  • Responsible for growing a portfolio of End User Customers through Account Management
  • Responsible for delivering significant New Business Development sales targets across SFAG’s combined service streams
  • A key contributor to sector Marketing campaigns including new product development and targeted promotional activity


  • Ability to identify competitive routes to market and execute to achieve monthly targets
  • Measured on contribution to Business Development & Marketing campaigns including Catalogue and End User Promotional campaigns
  • Support an integrated 'Customer Journey’ working with Customer Service and Marketing to drive a vision of 'Absolute Customer Satisfaction.’


  • Experience managing Customer portfolios to achieve growth targets
  • Experience prospecting and cold calling to achieve new business Sales targets
  • The ability to work as an individual and part of a team
  • Superior influencing and negotiating skill
  • Ability to deliver consistent portfolio growth performance over a sustained period (2 years minimum)
