World Day for Safety and Health at Work

27/04/2015

The annual World Day for Safety and Health at Work takes place on the 28th April. This day works to promote the awareness and prevention of occupational accidents and diseases around the world and develop a culture of a safe and healthy working environment.

The ILO (International Labour Organization) celebrates the World Day for Safety and Health at Work in order to raise awareness of campaigns that focus internationally on emerging trends in occupational safety and health and the scale of work related injuries and diseases worldwide. By celebrating World Day for Safety and Health at Work it is promoting a culture of global safety and health.

Help promote safety and health in your workplace by providing employees with information and guidance on safe working practices and the steps to take if an incident does occur. This can include posters, risk assessments, pocket guides and first aid manuals.
