Accident Book

31/10/2014

By law, organisations must record accident information as part of their workplace health and safety management. The book can be used to keep a record of accidents at work that employers must report under the reporting of injuries, diseases and dangerous occurrence regulations (RIDDOR).

What are the Benefits of the Product?

Employers and employees can use this accident book to record details of work-related injuries for which state benefits could be payable. It should be used to record all accidents in the workplace, including minor ones.

The benefits of using accident books is that it is Data Protection Act Compliant and enables compliance with the Social Security Administration Act 1992. Perforated pages mean entries can be completed and removed for safe storage to meet DPA 2003. This is because the record will contain personal information which must not be seen by other members of staff.

Accident books are RIDDOR compliant and are advantageous as it provides a quick and easy system for recording 53 incidents (A4 size) in the workplace in your accident book. By recording accidents helps the employer to learn lessons and take action to stop accidents occurring in the future. This means safety at work and for members of staff.
